1930 John Deere General Purpose Tractor
Manufactured by John Deere
John Deere manufactured the GP from 1928 to 1935. It was rated
10 drawbar horsepower and 20 belt horsepower. It was the first
tractor with four power outlets: the drawbar, the belt pulley,
the power take-off and the power-driven mechanical lift. It was
designed for three-row mounted equipment. The GP had suitable
power to pull two 14" plows or power a 22" threshing
machine.

The John Deere GP was manufactured on January 15, 1930. It
was shipped to Wheaton, MN and spent its working life in Rosholt,
SD. It was restored using the museum's
Beckman Archive to make it authentic in every detail to its year
of manufacture.
