navbuttons.jpg Making a Donation to the State Agricultural Heritage Museum
The museum collects objects related to rural life and agricultural history.
The Beckman Archive specialized in tractor and implement brochures, parts catalogs and advertising. The photograph archive specializes in photographs of family farming activities in South Dakota. This archive includes still and motion pictures. In most cases, the original photo is returned to the donor - we preserve the photographs by making new negatives. We collect farm equipment that is in good original condition or significantly rare. Storage space is extremely limited and the museum staff must be very selective in acquiring farm machinery.

If you have an object that the museum might want, contact sdsu.agmuseum@sdstate.edu. Describe the object to the best of your ability including size, age, condition, and history. It would be very helpful to have a photograph of the object.

Please remember that museums have only limited sources. Prospective gifts are carefully evaluated to ensure that they fit the needs of the museum. The museum tries to accept only  those objects that it really needs and can properly store.

Private financial support of the museum is essential to the museum's continued growth. Contributions can be made to the museum through the South Dakota State University Foundation and are generally tax deductible under section 501C3 of the Internal revenue Service.
