Throughout the year the museum offers numerous innovative programs, events, partnerships and educational and engagement initiatives that enhance the Museum’s educational impact in the community.  Be sure not to miss out on any of the fun by checking our museum calendar to see what’s happening around the museum.

  • “Bone Dry South Dakota: The Failure of Prohibition in a Rural State,” speaker SDSU Professor Dr. Chuck Vollan – his program was part of a series of programming related to our exhibit, Barley to Barrel: The Science and History of Brewing in South Dakota.
  • Homebrewing 101 – this program was part of a series of programming related to our exhibit, Barley to Barrel: The Science and History of Brewing in South Dakota.

The ‘The Incredible Ewe & You’ Program led by Dr. Lowel Slyter, professor emeritus and Reproduction Specialist in Animal Sciences. This program looked at the sheep industry in South Dakota.
