Exhibit Opening Reception: “Weathering the Storm: Nature’s Impact on South Dakota”

Join us March 15th from 4:00 -7:00pm for the unveiling of our newest exhibit, Weathering the Storm: Nature’s Impact on South Dakota. From Lakota Winter Counts to satellite imagery, explore how we document major weather events that have left lasting impressions on our landscape. Mary O’Neill, retired Research Associate, most recently with SDSU’s Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, will speak at 6pm. Mary serves as the coordinator of South DakotaView, a charter member of the AmericaView consortium.  Refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
