Rammed Earth
 

Ralph Patty, Chairman of the Agricultural Engineering Department, supervised the rammed earth research at SDSC in the 1920s and 1930s. Patty's research was published internationally as well as by SDSC and the USDA. Henry H. Delong assisted Ralph Patty with his rammed earth research and supervised the construction of the building that bears his name. Delong was a founding curator of the State Agricultural Heritage Museum.
