South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum will be offering, Teaching Your Subject Using Geo-Inquiry , a 2 day teacher training opportunity with an optional CEU credit for purchase.

Attendees will receive National Geographic’s Geo-Inquiry Training, Phase 1 Geo-Educator Program Training, and will explore the museum’s exhibit, Weathering the Storm: Nature’s Impact on South Dakota. The National Geographic Geo-Inquiry Process is a project based learning classroom curriculum that promotes the use of a geographic perspective to analyze space, place, and the interconnections between the human and natural world. Students learn through hands-on lessons, experiments, and models that promote collaboration among classmates, student-composed questioning, the collection and compilation of data to draw conclusions, and communication skills. Teacher training and lunch are provided free of charge. One CEU credit is available for $15.00.
