Water Bag

Patented in 1949, by Fred H and Herman F. Wenzzel of Missouri, this canvas water bag is advertised as being self-cooling.  Wenzel Tent and Duck Company manufactured tarps, wagon canvases, and camping equipment.  According to the self-cooling water bag patent, the canvas is impregnated with a paraffin emulsion which controls the rate of water seepage and evaporation, thus keeping the water cool.  Melvin Johnson, 2008:013:001. #WhatsNewWednesday #Water
